Lafitte’s Landing is a
professionally designed
haunted adventure, like
nothing else in Texas!!
Based on extensive research
of the brother pirates Jean
& Pierre Lafitte, we have
chronicled the events that
led them to North Texas with
our 10,000sf indoor haunt.
This is not the traditional
chainsaw wielding, “bloody
stump” and gore haunted
house. We have made
extensive use of special
effects, robotics, animation
and interaction to tell
their story. While we do
have the obligatory scream
in your face areas - they
are relatively small.
We have over 30 volunteer
“scare-actors” that bring
the events to life each
night, as well as several
dozen crew members who
build, sew, paint and
create.
Some of the
animation may be a bit
intense for those of an
impressionable age and we do
not recommend our attraction
for those under 13 years
old. We do not use blood and
guts for effect, (well not
very much), but after
experiencing the Adventure
you will never miss them.
This is an extremely scary
event.
This charity haunt was built
on the premise of helping
non profit organizations
such as
In-Sync Exotics who have
made it their mission to
protect and care for exotic
animals that have been
abandoned or in need of more
professional living
circumstance. And since this
is a fully self funded
crusade, our efforts here at
Lafittes Landing haunted
attraction is to do our part
to provide the enormouscosts associated with this
wonderful and amazing
humanitarian endeavor.
That's why part of every
single dollar taken in by
our seasonal attraction goes
directly to the good people
at In-Sync Exotics. In
fact, for 2007, we here at
Lafitte's have adopted
"Nick" as our
very own "mascot" of sorts
and our donations will be
directly dedicated to
his personal care, along
with the many other
wonderful felines at this
oasis of care and shelter of
such animals.
From In-Sync:
"In-Sync Exotics views
rescuing exotic felines as a
privilege and a rewarding
labor of love, from our
hearts to theirs. Our
mission at In-Sync Exotics
is to provide a caring, safe
haven to some of God's most
beautiful creatures. We put
their needs above all else;
the old, the maimed, and the
unwanted can find sanctuary
here."
We encourage donations
toward this wonderful cause
be offered on your next trip
to Lafitte's and just know
that no matter the size of
the offering, it will deeply
appreciated!
